Fergie - Glamorous

I can't even lie, I f*ck with this song and the video gives you the same feel that the song gave me when I first heard it.

I wanna speak my peace, this guy Nas(aka Nasty) is a real big rap icon and I know he has a lot of fans out there that think very highly of him. Nasty came to the burgh March 31st and performed for a nicely sized crowd of college students @ the Pitt Fitzgerald Field House.

The performance was going well until Nas told his DJ to cut a track due to him "having so many jams..." and gettin his tracks mixed up. Now I've been a fan of this guy since a tyke and I'm never one to get star-struck, but when I walked in Nasty walks in and as I start to greet him, he turns around and looks away...WTF!!! Well man, I ain't gon' sweat it, I was stressin it but you know what, I guess that goes to show you, you can't put these icons on the pedestal...One

Hampton is ready to be more vocal

Thursday, April 5, 2007

By Teresa Varley
Steelers.com

Nose tackle Casey Hampton isn't the type of guy to hold back, especially when he is on the football field.

Hampton is aggressive and goes all out on every play. It's that kind of effort that earned him his third Pro Bowl trip this year.

But, off the field, Hampton has been holding back a little bit. And he is the first to admit it.

JENESIS Magazine: What's your definition of sexy?

Brittany: I feel that sexy isn't just a way to look but is a way you carry yourself. It's an attitude and a certain confidence that is shown. A type of appeal from the inside out is how I define sexy! Confidence, intelligence, and a kind heart define the word sexy to me.

Jay-Z - Kingdom Come (Rocafella)
Hov's newest edition to his catalogue will definitely challenge his faithful fans and D-boy listeners to "sit" with it and let it marinate. My first take on Kingdom Come was that it was a disappointment and Hov had "slipped" or maybe even "rushed" this one, but after actually listening closely and hearing Hov's reasoning, I've come to realize that this is nowhere near Jigga's worst album, but probably his best.

Throughout Kingdom Come you'll come to understand S.Carter (The CEO of Def Jam) more and what's he's basically been doing since becoming the top dog at Def Jam. He gets really in depth about his personal life on tracks like "Lost One" & a track, with John Legend on the hook, makes the smooth song feel like your on the coast, riding on a big yacht with Hov relaxing, drinking & hanging with top of the line celebs.

He even addresses his "beef" with former Rocafella artist Cam'ron & the Diplomats. Which he implies that he (Cam'ron) only went platinum when the Rocafella chain was around his neck. Talking to Cam'ron & Jim Jones with lyrics like :
Just like the disciples/
Dissin Jesus becoming his rivals/
Shunning the one thing that they owe they life to/
You let that man hype you to go against ya idol/
Knowing good & god damn well this what I do/
Think I'm in the office I'm off my grind/
That's how kids become orphans you LOST YA MIND? /
I keep my enemies close I give em enough rope/
They put they selves in the air/
I just kick away the chair/

Hov shows he's still got it, proclaiming himself being in his "30's & Hot Still" also by his well-known delivery throughout this album, Jay wants people to know that Being a Hustler isn't about staying at the same level, comparing himself to Big Homie (Michael Jordan) a lot, lets you know that he's about his business and that he's came along way from being a D-Boy in Brooklyn to becoming CEO chilling in his Beach chair...

Wiz Khalifa - Show & Prove (Rostrum)

Everyone that listens to real music has an ear for a good artist. It takes real talent and a hard work ethic to become great & greatness doesn't come often. Like a lot of greats & legends to come, Wiz Khalifa has showed us his work ethic and that his "hustle" is a sure win. It's hard to believe that the city that he shouts over the illustrious beats hasn't been on the map for hip hop...period.

Although many have taken there stab at getting the hip-hop scene popping in the Burgh. Wiz has become literally the PRINCE of all before him; Khalifa showcases his hustler's ambition & quick wit over bangers: "Stand Up featuring Kev da Hustla", "Burn Sumthin", "Gotta Be a Star features S.Money & Juliano" & "Pittsburgh Sound". Starting this well constructed album is the "Intro" where Young Wiz states:

With the hunger of Chris Wallace back in "94"/
I'd like to welcome y'all to rock with Peachie's youngest boy/
From the bottom of the pot young the Pitts of the burgh/
With kids on the curb /
& small timers pitching the herb/
I'm back...

And Back he is...reaching...to new heights and "serving" the loyal customers he's gained from his debut mixtape "Prince of The City: Welcome to Pistolvania" hosted by Big Mike, Wiz intelligently chooses the perfect beats to accompany his style & swagger. On "I Choose You"...even the chorus lets...you know that Khalifa bears the name of someone who is "Chosen" for the game. He (Wiz) makes it real hard to deny his music savvy & character especially over bangers: "Damn Thing" & "Keep the Conversation featuring Boaz". Where he and Boaz (of Tha Govament) & Tell the girls a Comical Line to Keep the Conversation. This album is hands down a classic from a young guy with a more than a bright future; call it History in the Making If You Will...

About Me

My photo
Pittsburgh, PA, United States
I'm very interested in Money...I've met her once and I can't live without her, she makes me feel good, but I'm strong enough to know that too much of her wouldn't be healthy. So I always make time for Money, a day that I take her out and show her the things I like. I make Money and Money is just starting to realize that she can't make me.
